I am a regular customer in Dubai and have just recently returned to Thrifty after the lockdown. I usually rent from Deira City Centre, at times Dubai Mall and Festival City. I would like to point out that your employees have always been very gracious and professional, and they are one of the main reasons why I keep coming back to Thrifty. Despite some economical ups and downs making expenses difficult to maintain, I find myself always returning. Please take note that the service employee, Shoukat, at Deira, is always helpful and professional. The counter staff is also very nice. Yesterday Rizza was a super big help. Sometimes honourable mention deserves a bit of my time out of my busy work day.

Super helpful, it was my first time renting a car. Location of Thrifty was extremely convenient (Dubai Festival City, and Yas Mall). Process was clear, and the car was in excellent condition. Happy that the car was picked up and dropped off at a different location (although I wish it didn’t cost so much for that convenience: AED 250+). Easy to extend rental, if need be. Thrifty rep was extremely friendly, punctual, and helpful.

Kindly two request, if possible: Special thanks for the man who received me when I signed the contract as he was very cooperative and did a great welcome when I arrived. I was surprised with these traffic fines (speed limit) so can I know the general rule for the speed limit especially on Dubai-Abu Dhabi road? I saw the people speed more than I did. In the last three years, I have never had traffic fines, however, we have more speed cameras in Saudi. But I think because I didn’t know the exact rules in UAE. Again, thank you and have a nice day.

My special commendation goes to Mr Gagan of Al Wahda Mall. Yesterday, 2nd of September 2015, I took a chance again to see if there’s a possibility of renting a small compact car just by showing up at the counter. At that moment, none was available for taking. In most cases, the person at the counter will just tell me straight that there’s no available car of that category, period. Or he will tell me to take the next higher category, come back the next day or place my booking through your website. And then the “Thank you” and “Have a nice day” thing follows. Instead, he didn’t waste time calling in his colleagues from different sites just to know if they have a spare car. To cut to the chase, Mr Gagan accommodated my request and got me a car! Deserved to be commended as he did his job with a smile, satisfied your client, gave a very good impression, and uplifted the reputation of your esteemed company. Would like to bring to your attention that I was very confused as to what car should I rent and to my surprise... excellent service Mr Nabil & Mr Javed suggested a few models with their experience and made my choices easier. The service was effective and efficient and made me rent the car for 3 days instead of 1 day. Amazing suggestions and service. I have already booked the same car for next week and shall be recommending my friends to hire from Thrifty Aloft from now on. As a long term client of Thrifty, I think it’s only fair that Mohammed Sami gets the recognition he deserves. We were first referred to Sami in 2011, when our on-going issues with the airport branch (I won’t go into that here) remained unresolved time and again. Sami immediately took charge of the situation and had us sorted out in no time at all. From what I understand, Sami is in charge of all of Thrifty’s vehicles in terms of accidents/deliveries/pick ups and drivers. He has also on numerous occasions worn the hat of sales consultant. It seems to me there is nothing that this amazing man can’t do!! He must have a clone of himself sleeping at home that takes over at night because I was a little concerned to learn that he is available pretty much 24 hours per day to try and fulfil his numerous duties and has two mobile numbers that are never switched off. Nothing seems to be too much for Sami and he is always ready with a solution to any problem (and a speedy one at that). I can honestly tell you that if it weren’t for Sami stepping in and smoothing things over in 2011 that I would have taken my business elsewhere and it is only his continuous excellent service that keeps us with Thrifty. Unfortunately, all too often these amazing people get overlooked in large companies and I hope you will take a few moments to consider my feedback and congratulate Sami on his continuous excellent service to us. I have on a previous occasion also commended Sami’s service to the General Manager but never received any feedback or response. Perhaps this time, you will be so kind as to let me know that you have received my email.
